Megan
Art director & Lead Art Instructor
Los Angeles, CA
Artist. Educator. Founder.
Megan is an emerging artist from Los Angeles, CA. She began taking art lessons and learning Art History at just 6 years old — and painting quickly became her favorite form of media to work with.
After graduating with a BA and Master's Degree in Illustration from CSUN, she pursued a career in painting, building a freelancing career creating pop surrealism oil paintings in saturated, bright colors. Her work was shown at numerous art shows throughout the Los Angeles area, where she had the opportunity to collaborate with many talented emerging artists.
In 2020, Megan began teaching art to children of all ages. She moved to Arizona with her family and continued her teaching career at BASIS Chandler before founding Colorful Minds Art School in Gilbert.
My teaching philosophy is to encourage students to tap into their own unique artistic talent and provide them with the tools to express themselves.

Where Every Student Finds Their Creative Voice.
How we teach
From toddlers to adults, we meet students exactly where they are and grow from there.
We celebrate color, creativity, and the courage it takes to put something personal on the canvas.
Students leave with tangible techniques — and the confidence to keep creating on their own.
What families say
“My daughter has been coming here since she was 3. Watching her grow into a confident, expressive artist has been one of the greatest gifts of her childhood.”
Maria L.
Parent of a student
“I picked up a paintbrush for the first time at 42. The instructors here made me feel like I belonged from day one. I haven't stopped creating since.”
James T.
Adult student
“The teen program is serious about art without being intimidating. My portfolio improved more in one semester here than in two years of school art class.”
